A mainstay of fairgrounds in the 60’s and 70’s there are very few left travelling, another victim of changing tastes and public wanting greater thrills. You’ll still find the odd one or two though, mainly at vintage fairs.
This model was designed by GDale and has an improved drive mechanism to stand the rigors of a show environment, where models can run for 6 hours or more. This was the first ride to have an electrical slip ring fitted into the old technic turnatable. This enable power to be transferred to the centre of the ride and allow the arm of he ‘Octopus’ to be lit.
